I have watched Survivor off and on through the years. We watched it faithfully as a family for many seasons and then life got in the way. We missed several seasons. Last season (Survivor: Heroes vs Villains) caught our eye because several of our favorite players from past seasons were playing the game again. We tuned in and watched Sandra come out as the victor. (She was not one that we were rooting for!)

Last night was the season premiere of Survivor: Nicaragua. And, whether you want me to or not, I will be posting a little recap here each week.
Jimmy Johnson - WOOT WOOT! Being a Dallas Cowboys fan I am loving that Jimmy J is on. Totally took me by surprise. My family of course is hoping he goes home. Jimmy J is 66. Go Jimmy.
People are annoyed even in the opening credits?!?! Really already??
Kelly B has a prosthetic leg that she is keeping a secret. Should be an interesting twist. Alina notices a limp during the medallion of power search.
The Medallion Of Power - the person who claims it wears it for the tribe and gives the tribe its power. Brenda finds it and Jimmy J. is really encouraging her for finding it.
Switch right off the bat! DIVIDED by age, WOW!! 40 and older vs 30 and younger, at 36 where would I be. Jimmy is called out for who he is, former NFL coach, a great leader. Will being a winning SuperBowl coach really be an advantage? Older tribe (Espada) blue - Younger tribe (La Flor)yellow.
The Medallion is pulled into play right off the bat. Trade it for fire and fishing gear or keep it even though you don't know what it is. Le Flor take the fire and fishing gear. The Medallion is given to Espada.
Espada tribe - Holly and Wendy are working on an alliance right off. Holly's accent is cracking me up, dontcha know. Holly is from one of the Dakotas. Wendy is a bit much. Her goal -- not to be the first person voted off.
Jane used glasses to start a fire. Way to go, Jane! I think that is the fastest I have ever seen anyone start a fire on Survivor.
La Flor is feeling confident with their age. Maybe over confident?!? Only time will tell...
Shannon and Chase are working on an alliance. They think they will be the strongest as alpha males. Shannon really doesn't not want the girls to run it.
Kelly B changes her plan. She is out to prove that she is just as capable as everyone else. She reveals her prosthetic leg. Shannon thinks she seems to be a possible threat, for a sympathy vote early on.
Jimmy J is sick already! He overdid it -- long hard night. Harder than he expected.
Brenda is using her charm already. Chase is hooked already and talking trust. He pulls Brenda into his alliance with Shannon. My prediction she is going to use him.
Immunity Idol clue is in play. Kelly and Alina found it together. Alina is "forced" into an alliance with Kelly. They keep the clue to themselves. She also brings up a sympathy vote.
Espada has a team huddle. Jimmy J, the motivator, lays out that no jury will give him a million dollars. He wants to coach the team and help them win a million dollars
La Flor comes to the challenge with a chant. Water & Puzzle Challenge. Medallion Power gives you huge advantage at challenges. If you use it, it then passes to the other team to use. Espada keeps the medallion. In this challenge it would have given a bucket a water in the barrel. Challenge - run water down the gutters and fill the barrel. Once barrel is full puzzle pieces will drop. Make the puzzle. La Flor gets puzzle pieces first. Boston Rob, how we miss you! La Flor wins immunity!
Jimmy T doesn't trust Jimmy J. He wants his voice heard. He is voting Jimmy J off tonight. Jimmy J thinks Wendy is the weakest player. Holly is a coach and is really listening to "the coach". She is rethinking her alliance already. I think she is going to vote Wendy. Holly is passing on "the coaches" words of wisdom. Holly, Jill, Marty and Yve (beautiful, btw) discuss Wendy vs Jimmy J.
Tribal Council - Jane describes making fire. She learned that making a fire was so important from Jeff. She practiced for months. Jimmy J brings up for a second time, that no jury will give him a million dollars. The team doesn't buy that. Half the team feels vulnerable. Wendy is saying that no one knows her. No one asked her how old she was. She didn't want to come into the game talking all the time, but she totally talked the whole time of tribal council. She gives a why I should stay speech. Wendy, it is the first vote, this is not the time for that. Please oh please send her home.
The tribe has spoken - Wendy!
I love this show and I am excited to be watching again this season.
